Meet Sutton CS850 R, a 860-PS Ford Mustang worth nearly $150k

British tuning guru Clive Sutton has presented his ultimate track-oriented vision of the latest Ford Mustang – still road-legal, but with loads of extra thrust and some handling improvements.

From the technical perspective, the R version is little different from the CS850 GT by the same aftermarket company. However, it features a stiffer suspension and other track-friendly mods. Power comes from a tweaked 5.0-liter V8 boosted to around 860 PS (847 hp / 632 kW) and 900 Nm (665 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed manual transmission conveys the momentum through a shortened final gear for maximum acceleration potential. An LSD on the rear axle is torque-aware for optimum cornering performance in a variety of situations.

Elsewhere, the exclusive tuning offers Steeda suspension parts to minimize rolling and enable a more direct steering response, as well as a customizable cabin. Prices start from £121,000, which amounts to $146,000 in U.S. money.
