JMC-Ford JSC in China has updated its Ford Transit Custom offering for that market. Customers in Europe are already getting the next-generation model (see video).
The exterior has been brushed up to stay in line with the marque’s recently released light passenger cars. The interior underwent a complete redesign with two added 12.3-inch displays and a host of modern electronic systems.
For the powertrain, buyers can choose between a 2.0-liter petrol engine and a same-sized diesel. The old six-speed auto gearbox is no longer on the list, replaced with nine-speed auto as standard. The van also has a slew of driving assist systems in its latest version.
Various trims of the 2024 Transit Custom are scheduled for production this spring.
