Chinese carmaker Geely and IT company Baidu have teamed up to establish a new car marque on the domestic market. Called JI YUE, it will be producing tech-heavy premium EVs, and the first one of those will be an SUV named ‘01’.
The concept car in the photos has a low-drag body with a slanted roof, a solid front panel, a two-piece rear spoiler, vertical taillights and multi-tier headlights. Since the company hopes to begin shipments in Q4 2023, chances are good that the exterior design shown here is final.
All technical details remain to be revealed; all we know to this date is that the electric SUV runs on Geely’s proprietary unibody architecture called SEA.
