Honda has unveiled the more off-road-capable Black Edition of its CR-V SUV at the ongoing 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon.
Compared to its more mundane counterpart (shown on the video), the CR-V Black Edition boasts flashy chrome décor and matte-black plastic moldings, higher clearance, some protective padding, an original wheel set wrapped in meaty tires, and a roof rack made up from small, yet powerful LED lights. A similar rack now also sits on the front bumper.
The special series comes powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine delivering 193 hp (144 kW) to all four wheels by means of a continuously variable transmission.
