Honda NSX makes a fine exhibit in the Toyota Museum

It only makes sense for companies to exhibit their own products in their museums – why would you be helping your competitors by featuring their products, anyway? Well, the Toyota Museum in Nagoya does exactly that with this exhibit of a Honda NSX.

The company has a fine explanation to offer you for it, too. Apparently, the NSX Coupe struck a unique market niche in the early 1990s, being one of the first cars to serve equally well as a tourer suitable for long journeys and a track tool. This is why Toyota decided to have it represented in its museum.

As a one-off precedent, this wouldn’t be surprising, but Toyota actually has a few more Honda cars on display in Nagoya, including a first-gen Civic, an N360 city car, and an S500 convertible. We are not sure how it works exactly, but this willingness to promote your rival certainly appears noble, and may generate positive PR.
