Hyundai Tucson Mk4 coming with 290 hp, hybrid version

Hyundai has released some specs of its upcoming fourth-gen Tucson. The crossover SUV will be available as a hybrid and an N Series performance car. The assembly lines start rolling on Monday, September 14.

The entry-level spec based on a 1.6-liter turbo engine will be the first to arrive, rated at 180 hp (134 kW) and 264 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque. A 2.0-liter diesel will follow later, and a “warmed-up” N Line spec will go into production on September 28 based on a 2.5-liter ICE engine and an electric motor. It will produce 230 hp (172 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.

The sporty Tucson N will be the last version to hit the market with a high-end 2.5-liter engine rated at 290 hp (216 kW) and 421 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. Its production launch date is not set yet.
