Infiniti has filed a trademark application for ‘QX65’, a new car that may be the coupe counterpart to the QX60 SUV, CarBuzz reports.
The QX60 changed generations a year and a half ago, and you can find it in our gallery and video here. Infiniti already has a pair of models following the same naming convention: the QX50, which is an SUV, and the QX55, which is a coupe-like crossover. Representatives of the company said earlier that it was interested in prioritizing popular market segments first, including SUVs.
If the alleged QX65 actually makes it into production, it will likely not debut until Q3 2023. The automaker may also set up the premiere date to coincide with a planned expansion of drivetrain choices. In this case, the model may become a hybrid.
