Chinese automaker JAC has announced the launch of its Huantu truck model in May. The car has been built and equipped for use in heavy off-road conditions.
Main exterior traits include an enlarged radiator grille, big JAC lettering, two-level headlights, towing hooks, a winch, access steps, and impressively sized wheels. The car is 1,965 mm wide with 3,400 mm of wheelbase and plenty of ground clearance. The manufacturer says the suspension has been tweaked for off-road driving.
Interior highlights include a 7-inch digital dashboard, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, and a three-spoke steering wheel.
A two-liter diesel mill worth 150 PS (148 hp / 118 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a rear diff lock.
Prices start at 168,000 CNY.
