Jeep teases the AWD Avenger 4xe

The new Jeep Avenger 4xe will ship at the end of the year with three motors in the powertrain driving all four wheels – a first for the crossover SUV. In the meantime, here is its very first photo.

The car will utilize a petrol engine rated at 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW), two electric motors adding 29 PS (29 hp / 21 kW) each, and a six-speed preselector DCT with a low-end e-motor built straight into it. The resulting powertrain can be utilized at full capacity (with the IC engine) and in all-electric mode. Jeep has yet to supply any acceleration or range figures, but assures us that all-wheel drive will stay functional regardless of the remaining battery charge.

Having introduced the compact-sized Avenger EV in the fall of 2022, Jeep followed up with its hybrid and ICE variants in January this year. The car is the smallest in the company’s current model lineup and front-wheel-drive in all versions except for the one announced today. You will find these old versions in the rest of the gallery and the video here.
