Lamborghini has unveiled the Urus Essenza SCV12 Edition limited to 40 production units. The name of the SUV and its production quantity match those of a track-only supercar the Italian company released three years ago, and only those who bought that one may now pre-order the Urus.
Unlike the standard luxury crossover, the Essenza comes loaded with carbon-coated parts: these include the top, the hood, the sills, the side mirror caps and many other details. Buyers can choose between a gloss and a matte finish. The wheels are 23 inches in diameter by default.
The rest of the bodywork will be painted-to-order to match the buyer’s Essenza SCV12 racecar. This is done to ensure that the coupe and the SUV can be exhibited side-by-side as matching counterparts.
The interior lacks any racing-specific components, but boasts a carbon-rich trim scheme with anodized aluminum accents. A plaque with a serial number of the SUV and its owner’s name is also present.
From the technical perspective, the Urus Essenza SCV12 is a standard Performante model packing a 4.0-liter V8 turbocharged to 666 PS (657 hp / 490 kW). Sprinting from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 3.3 seconds.
