You can’t buy the Kimera EVO38 restomod, but you can get this replica

Restomod specialist Kimera Automobili first brought back the legendary Lancia 037 and then followed up with a revised take dubbed the 038 (see video). Both restomods graced the market with limited production runs and cost north of $500,000 when they were still available. If you didn’t get one for some reason, Technomodel has the next best thing: a 1:18 scale replica.

According to the company, the idea was to produce a richly detailed model that would look lifelike from every angle. Everything from hood vents to wheel spokes and carbon trims is reproduced with great faithfulness to the original Kimera EVO38. The interior has seats, a steering wheel and a dashboard.

To keep prices down, a decision was made not to implement any opening doors or covers. Instead, Technomodel put a see-through panel in the back to let owners take a look at the replica of the original’s 2.2-liter turbo four-pot. The lightweight engine revs up to 7,500 RPM in the real-world EVO38 and pumps out 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) that it sends to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

Customers can choose between red and golden yellow for the color. Either version costs €300, but the total production run is limited to 150 units, so get your preorder in soon if you are interested.
