Geely’s Lynk & Co premium badge has revealed the specifications of its upcoming SUV, the 08.
The vehicle is a range-extender hybrid using a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine to top up the 39.6-kWh traction battery. On electric power alone, it can cover 245 km (152 miles) of CLTC-rated range. With the gas tank full, the range can be extended to 1,400 km (870 miles).
Dual electric motors mounted one per axle drive them with a combined 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The sprint time is not bad for a part-electric SUV at 5 seconds.
The Lynk & Co 08 runs on the second generation of the CMA platform, which many other upcoming models from Geely and Volvo will receive, including the XC60. Inside, it has a 12.3-inch digital dash display, a 15.4-inch head unit and a 92-inch projected HUD.
Sized 4,820 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,685 mm tall with 2,848 mm of wheelbase, the newcomer slots into the lineup just below the company’s flagship SUV, the 09.
