Video: Mercedes-AMG A 45 donuts on an icy track

Mercedes has published a video showing a couple of new Mercedes-AMG A 45 hatchbacks making the most out of their 4Matic AWD system in Drift Mode on an ice-crusted racetrack in Sweden.

In an earlier announcement, the company said that the 400-horsepower (300-kilowatt) version of its Mercedes-AMG A 45 hatchback will ship with the same all-wheel-drive system as the E 63 S. This means that the driver will be able to uncouple the front axle clutch and deactivate the automatic drift stabilization system.

The “hot hatch” inherits certain features from its junior sibling, the A 35 4Matic. These include an all-digital dashboard and an MBUX infotainment system with several selectable modes of data representation. It also packs the AMG Track Pace feature, a virtual racing assistant that can keep track of over 80 parameters during a race.
