The Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W221) counts among the world’s most popular executive sedans/saloons. Around 500,000 vehicles found owners in the production period from 2006 through 2013. No wonder Lorinser felt like designing something new and exciting for the model.
The emphasis lies on performance this time around, with the tuner offering upgrades for the S250 CDI, S320 CDI, S350 BlueTec, S350 CDI, S420 CDI, and S500 CGI versions. The numbers vary from car to car, but the cost stays fixed at €1,084.
The S63 AMG lineup also gets its share of attention. Owners of the 544hp (400kW) version may expect a boost to 604 hp (450 kW), while those who opted for the 571hp (420kW) flagship may savor 631 hp (466 kW). Both kits are available for as little as €1,252.
Further options include a body kit that consists of a reshaped front bumper, side skirts, and a rear diffuser (€4,765+). That aside, you may opt for a chrome grille (€530), a rear spoiler lip (€350), a roof wing (€375), and front fender flares (€1,650).
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W221) by Lorinser rides on a proprietary set of RS 8 forged rims measuring up to 21 inches across (€520+). The tuner suggests also getting a suspension lowering kit along with the wheels.
Overall, the assortment of options looks quite impressive, and the prices are quite democratic, too. It is the styling that we are most concerned about: the body kit seems to lend the S-Class an even more old-fashioned look. Or is it just us? What do you think?
