Mercedes-AMG is getting its GT 4-Door Coupe ready for some nip-and-tuck, as evidenced by these recent spy shots.
The images show a camouflaged front end, but it is evident that the trapezoid cut in the lower apron is still there. There are also hints of air vents at the corners and partially cladded front fenders – looks like slight changes will be made there, too.
Other than that, the car looks like an early prototype. Among other things, the taillights and the entire rear end stay unchanged. Automakers rarely leave things completely untouched there, so we expect more sightings with new redesigned parts.
It remains to be seen what engines will stay in the GT 4-Door Coupe lineup. The current family culminates with a plug-in hybrid spec called GT 63 S E Performance, which combines a 4.0-liter V8 with a single electric motor (see video). This version produces 843 PS (831 hp / 620 kW) and 1,400 Nm (1,033 lb-ft) of torque.
