Mini posts new info on its Countryman SUV

Carmaker Mini has two major premieres planned for this year, and one of them is the third generation of the Countryman SUV. As prototypes are wrapping up their final street tests, the company decided to tell us a bit about the car.

In its next design iteration, the Countryman will become significantly larger and even comparable with the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and the BMW X1 in terms of size. To ‘minimize pollution’, the company opted for a rather clean exterior design with few slap-on trims and accents. Inside, the floor lining, the headliner, the steering wheel trim and the dash panel will be made from recycled materials.

The flagship Countryman SE All4 version will drive all wheels with its two motors, producing up to 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW). It will have 450 km (280 miles) of battery range. A front-wheel-drive variant will also go on sale.
