Nissan Caravan morphs into a cozy little camper for Japan

The Nissan Caravan MPV will soon get a special version named MyRoom in Japan, which features a living space with modular furniture that can serve a number of purposes. The deliveries will begin in February 2024.

Compared to the standard minivan (see video), the MyRoom looks the same until you notice a small sticker on a rear side window and a two-tone finish. The true magic resides indoors, where a versatile living space allows you to turn it into a living room, a dining area or a bedroom in a few simple steps. The whole interior is lined with lighter-hued natural wood with wooden blinds on the windows, curtains and LED lighting fixtures for maximum comfort.

The vehicle runs on a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine rated at 129 PS (127 hp / 95 kW). It has a Nissan Leaf battery pack on board that provides power to any appliances inside and outside the van (via power sockets).

Prices on the domestic market start from ¥5,960,000.
