Polestones puts a price on the Jishi 01

A budding carmaker called Polestones Automobile has revealed new details about its first production EV earlier introduced as the Jishi 01. Apparently, the car was co-designed with Pininfarina and received three motors. It will go on sale in China first priced from 349,900 Yuan (U.S. $48,200).

According to the press release, Pininfarina took care of the exterior design, while Bosch, Continental and Valeo provided certain structural parts and components. CATL supplied a 56-kWh battery.

With two electric motors joining their efforts for 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque, the SUV needs 5.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph). The third ‘motor’ mentioned in the spec is actually a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 154 PS (152 hp / 113 kW) at the output end. It acts as a power generator for the main EV powertrain, extending the range to 1,340 km (832 miles). A fully charged battery gives only 235 km (146 miles) of range if used alone.

For the interior, buyers can choose between seven and six seats. The latter option costs 10,000 Yuan more. The second row always has two seats, while the back row can be represented by another two individual seats or a bench for three. The six-seater version is 5,050 mm (197.3 inches) long and the seven-seater is longer at 5,295 mm (206.9 inches). Both have the same wheelbase spanning 3,010 mm (117.6 inches).
