Forget Frankencars, this 1977 Pontiac Firebird is a Franken-SUV

Someone has spotted and photographed a car in Morris County, Kansas that looked like it rolled away from the filming set of a Mad Max movie. Initially recognizable as a lifted Pontiac Firebird, it becomes weirder and weirder the longer you look.

The commenter who made the photos claims that someone transferred this Firebird onto a Chevy Suburban chassis. They then replaced its middle body section with that of a Lincoln Town Car and followed that one up with a Dodge Magnum rear end. The result comes across as positively Frankensteinian, and at 5.8 meters (19 feet) long, it’s massive, too.

We’ve been unable to dig up any further details on the project so far. There are no cabin or drivetrain photos, either, but those aren’t necessary to conclude that the build was executed by a talented master (if a tad unhinged as well). It’s hard enough to fuse four similarly sized cars together, let alone a vintage muscle car, two wagons and a ladder-frame SUV!

Check out the video if you need a reminder of what a regular 1977 Pontiac Firebird looks like after a decent restoration.
