Skoda teases Vision O some more, promises utility and design perfection

The new Octavia is right around the corner, but while it’s still under wraps, let’s take a look at the official video teasing the concept.

We are told that this isn’t exactly how the mass-market Octavia will look like, but a number of its design traits will carry over nonetheless. This includes the slim T-shaped taillights, the a-pillars and the gently sloped roof with a spoiler. Overall, the design is in line with what the Skoda design team claimed it drew inspiration from: the vintage L&K 110, the first-generation Octavia from 65 years ago and the Superb wagon that joined the lineup in 2008.

According to Oliver Stefani, the lead designer, the Vision O develops the company’s Modern Solid design language “by amplifying its emotional appeal and perfecting brand identity.” He pointed out “simplicity in the clean lines” of the car and its well-appointed, practical design ideal for daily use.

We will learn more on the IAA Munich opening day, September 8, 2025.
