The current Subaru BRZ (see video) is not even three years old, but the Japanese marque is getting a new version ready to rumble. Whether it will be a special edition, an exclusive trim package or a full-fledged new model remains unclear – all the teaser pic shows is a headlight with red engraving on it.
It is worth remembering that the Toyota GR 86 – which is closely related to the BRZ – received an upgrade pack not long ago that gave it Sachs shock absorbers and new performance brakes with red calipers. A new trim version called Trueno Edition was added to the lineup as well, which included the package by default.
It remains to be seen whether the new Subaru BRZ will receive these options or something else. The official debut is scheduled on Sunday, July 23, so the wait isn’t going to be long.
