Subaru BRZ spawns a special version for Italy

Subaru has unveiled a limited edition of its BRZ coupe designed exclusively for Italy. Called Touge, it sports a new body kit, wheels and cabin trim. Only 60 units will be released priced from €49,500.

The name ‘Touge’ refers to the mountain roads in Japan famous for being perfect for drifting. The body kit consists of a front splitter, side sills, a rear diffuser, a trunk lid spoiler and lots of decorative overlays.

The car itself comes finished in Blu Pearl with 18-inch OZ Superleggera wheels offset in gold. The color combination should remind Subaru fans about the marque’s legendary rally cars finished in the same colors. The tailpipes are also larger than stock and bear the special edition’s name on them. The interior is trimmed with black and red leather and Alcantara.

Nothing is said about the engine options. In Europe, the stock Subaru BRZ (see video) relies on a 2.4-liter flat-four engine rated at 234 PS (231 hp / 172 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is six-speed manual, and there is a limited-slip differential. Accelerating from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 6.3 seconds.
