YouTuber Sam CarLegion has posted a comparison video between a Subaru WRX, a Hyundai Elantra N and a Honda Civic Si. The trio did a quarter-mile run to see which one is the fastest.
The Hyundai comes powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo rated at 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW). A six-speed manual transmission drives the front wheels. The curb weight is 1,455 kg (3,208 pounds).
Powering the Honda Civic Si is a 1.5-liter turbo four-pot good for 200 PS (197 hp / 147 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. It has the same transmission type and drive configuration as the Hyundai and is the lightest of the three at 1,352 kg (2,980 pounds).
The stock Subaru WRX commands a flat-four turbo engine rated at 275 PS (271 hp / 202 kW), but the example in the video is not stock. Rather, it delivers 345 PS (340 hp / 254 kW) to all four wheels. Aside from being the most powerful, it is also the heaviest of the bunch with 1,487 kg (3,278 pounds) of curb weight.
