V6-powered Tank 330 teased ahead of Saturday premiere

Chinese SUV brand Tank has posted a few photos of its upcoming new model called the Tank 330. According to AutoHome, it will debut this weekend, on March 16, with a turbocharged V6 under the hood and other improvements.

According to the earlier patent applications by Tank, the model number 330 will be closely based on the existing model 300 with some major modifications. Coming in at 4,772 mm long, 1,970 mm wide and 1,960 mm tall, it will be larger than the 300 in all dimensions. The wheelbase length is also apparently 20 mm longer.

The engine specs remain undisclosed, but there are rumors saying it will churn out 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW) and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque from three liters of displacement. A nine-speed automatic transmission will carry the momentum to both ends through a transfer case. This will make the Tank 330 the most powerful SUV in its lineup.

On the outside, you can tell the newcomer from other Tanks by its ventilated hood, new bumper, modified fenders and unique 18-inch wheels, as well as a “V6” badge on the tailgate.

Prices are expected to start in the general vicinity of 350,000 Yuan, a hefty premium over the Tank 300 that packs a 2.0-liter turbo and starts just below 200,000 Yuan.
