A total of 687 Tesla electric car owners have arranged a light show at a large parking lot near Helsinki, Finland, setting an international record for such gatherings.
Simon Pollock, a Tesla enthusiast and fan, was responsible for the organization of the event, the light show design and the synchronization of the nearly seven hundred EVs. He has already programmed similar shows before, so it was nothing new for him. Only owners of the more recent Tesla cars made since December 2022 were allowed to participate.
A few months ago, a similar record was set by the German Tesla fan community. The event in Finland was organized in response to that one and received active support from the local Tesla dealerships and the Michelin brand, as well as some other Finnish businesses. A prize draw was also organized for the participants, which may have influenced the popularity of the event.
