Wannabe Bugatti killer declares a war on Lixiang as well, targets Europe

Chinese home appliance maker Dreame has posted another 3D rendering of its upcoming hypercar, showcasing its butterfly-wing doors this time around. It accompanied the image with an announcement of four other, tamer vehicles set to compete with Bentley and Rolls-Royce in the EU and Lixiang in China.

The car seen here is advertised as the flagship of the lineup and looks like the most blatant rip-off of the Bugatti Chiron history has ever known. In keeping with the “made in China” theme, it features a four-door body design and a four-seat interior. All doors swing up like butterfly wings, and the company boasts that the body is “extremely rigid” despite having no b-pillars.

All powertrain specs are pending, but Dreame promises us a full-electric and a range-extender hybrid variants.

According to CarNewsChina quoting the manufacturer, the other three models planned for production will all be SUVs. They will be “inspired” by the domestic Lixiang brand and will mostly vary by size, with the biggest offering envisioned with 3.3 meters (129 inches) of wheelbase. Prices in China will reportedly start from 270,000 CNY and hit 600,000 CNY ($40,000–84,350).

Unofficial reports also claim that the company – which still has no automobiles in its portfolio – plans to create a new sub-brand called “Starry” for even larger vehicles.

In the meantime, Dreame is actively looking to hire powertrain experts and IT professionals, as well as outsource some of the work to third-party automotive designers. The company has already filed around 6,500 patent and trademark applications in China, roughly half of them categorized as automotive.

It remains to be seen how exactly the robot vacuum maker manages to dethrone Bugatti, but it plans to attend the CES 2026 on January 6–9, 2026, so let’s postpone our judgment until then.
