2024 Acura TLX debuts with minor styling tweaks, better tech

Acura has facelifted the TLX sedan lineup for the new model year, giving it a slight redesign along with an advanced infotainment system and standard AWD in more trims. The sales will begin later this month.

The exterior novelty is rather toned down. There is a frameless radiator grille with a new pattern, 19-inch wheels replacing the old 18-inch ones and a sportier body kit in higher trims. Buyers can opt for two new body colors, and that’s about it.

Things get much more interesting in the cabin, where a 12.3-inch digital dashboard finally arrives to replace the analog one. The infotainment display also gets a size boost from its old 10.2 inches to 12.3. Acura says the driving assist package has been thoroughly improved along with surround view cameras, noise proofing and active noise cancelling. The car has a wireless charger for gadgets now and sportier seats even in the cheapest trim.

The base TLX still comes with the same engine rated at 280 PS (276 hp / 206 kW). The Type S version benefits from a 3.0-liter V6 rated at 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW). The middle-ground A-Spec now has the SH-AWD included by default (it was optional), and the same applies to the TLX Type S.
