Zagato AGTZ Twin Tail now production-ready

Italian coachbuilder Zagato has shown the first AGTZ Twin Tail destined to ship to a client soon. It is a sports car with a fully detachable rear end.

The model was introduced last year. It is based on the modern Alpine A110 platform but hearkens back to the exotic 1968 Alpine 220 racer. That car had originally been designed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but was later stripped of its rear end panels to perform better at hill-climb races.

Zagato says it will be making 19 units priced from €675,000 each.
