ABT injects 800 PS into the Audi RS 6 Avant

The German tuning company continues building up its portfolio of extremely capable Legacy Edition (LE) Audis. One of their most recent works is this RS 6 Avant wagon rebuilt from the ground up to resemble a track monster.

Starting with the exterior, the European upper-middle-class family hauler flaunts a rather aggressive body kit largely made from carbon-fiber parts. It includes a front splitter, radiator grille inserts, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a rear wing, as well as a host of finer details. The whole body is finished in a glossy black paint with pale gold accents that ABT prefers to call “Neodymium”.

Complementing the look are 22-inch aftermarket wheels and lowered suspension. The interior follows the same design theme and looks rather upscale with its generous use of fine black leather and suede. Carbon-fiber accents, metallic details and more Neodymium highlights lend it a certain sporty vibe.

And then there’s the engine, which goes from its standard 600 metric horsepower (592 hp / 441 kW) all the way up to 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW). The torque simultaneously rises to 980 Nm (723 lb-ft). This is accomplished via upgrade turbos, multiple cooling improvements and software tweaks, ABT reports.

Only 30 examples of the so-called ABT RS6-LE 800 will be made. Prices start from €108,000 for the materials alone – you’ll still need to provide your own RS 6 Avant, which currently starts around €112,000 in Germany. Installation and tuning are also paid for separately.
