Bugatti has held an experiment on Space Florida launchpad earlier this week, inviting multiple Chiron Super Sport owners to the site and asking them to accelerate to 400 kilometers per hour (248 mph), the car’s officially rated top speed. Check out the video for results.
Each participant had a racing overalls tailored for them with their name on it and a racing helmet provided with the target speed print. The race took place on an enclosed section of a runway over 5 km (3.1 miles) long.
According to one of the participants, the experience was unforgettable and the car felt just about as capable at 400 km/h as it was at half that speed. “[It] only reinforces my passion for the incredible Bugatti brand,” he said.
