BYD Group in China has reported making nine million full-electric and electrified vehicles in the country.
The 9,000,000th example to roll off the assembly line was a Yangwang U9 hypercar packing a quad-motor powertrain with 1,306 PS (1,288 hp / 960 kW) heading for the wheels. It costs 1.68 million CNY on its domestic market, which translates to U.S. $239,00 at the current conversion rates.
It’s also worth pointing out that BYD celebrated producing its 8,000,000th EV just a few months ago.
