Cadillac has put some polish on the Blackwing editions of its CT4-V and CT5-V models, adding equipment here and there along with new colors. Since the V-Series is turning 20 this year, it also received anniversary-themed styling cues.
The cars now boast ‘20th Anniversary’ badges on their side sills and radiator grille. The digital dashboard has a unique starting animation.
The tech stays untouched except for the range-topping CT5-V Blackwing saloon with a ten-speed A/T on board. It gets the manufacturer’s latest Super Cruise autopilot system that lets drivers take their hands off the steering wheel on certain parts of the highway.
Other than that, the oily bits stay the same. The CT4-V Blackwing still relies on a 3.6-liter six-pot turbo to drive the wheels with 479 PS (472 hp / 352 kW) and 603 Nm (445 lb-ft) of torque. The CT5-V Blackwing benefits from a 6.2-liter V8 capable of 677 PS (668 hp / 498 kW) and 893 Nm (659 lb-ft). The standard transmission is six-speed manual.
