Changan has confirmed the launch of its facelifted 2023 Raeton model in China this fall. The car took on a more modern appearance and reportedly costs only a little bit more than before the mid-life refresh – at least, this is what the company says without providing any specific prices.
The old version was called Raeton CC. The new one goes by the name Raeton Plus. It is still 4.8 meters long with 2,770 mm between the axles.
The radiator grille no longer has a clear border at the bottom. It also sports a light bar at the top that connects the headlights. A LED strip merges the taillights in a similar fashion. A peek inside reveals a two-display infotainment cluster with hardly any hardware buttons in view. An electronic gear joystick sits on a two-tier center tunnel.
In terms of powertrain, the car still relies on a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to a seven-speed, pre-selective, dual-wet-clutch transmission. The front wheels get hit with 188 PS (185 hp / 138 kW), and AWD is not on the menu.
