Hertz teams up with Hendrick Motorsports to offer 750HP rental Chevy Camaro

Car sharing company Hertz has been treating its customers to performance-tuned versions of popular sports cars for a while now. Thanks to a recent joint effort with Hendrick Motorsports, the offer now expands as far as the Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1.

Both cars now fly Hertz signature colors: black and yellow. The SS additionally boasts 20-inch rims with a matte-black finish, illuminated running boards, a special edition dash plaque, and headrests with the embroidered signature of William Byron, professional U.S. racing driver and part of the Hendrick Motorsports team.

As far as technical features are concerned, both muscle cars feature strut tower braces, cold air intake systems, and cat-back dual exhaust systems. The latter bit alone pushes the stock SS from its 462 hp (345 kW) to 487 hp (363 kW).

If you are still not impressed, consider the Hertz-Hendrick Motorsports Camaro ZL1 whose 6.2-liter V8 gets a Callaway supercharger upgrade. The resulting output amounts to a fabulous 750 hp (553 kW)! Too bad that these rental rides will emerge in a strictly limited series of 24 and will be available in Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, and a few other places popular among rich people and celebrities.
