Czinger, a hypercar maker with headquarters in Los Angeles, has released a video dedicated to its impending 21C model. The vehicle with an unusual interior layout and Bugatti Chiron levels of power had its first documented stroll on public roads.
Unlike most of the competition, the 21C has a two-seat cabin with one bucket seat mounted behind the other. This makes the greenhouse small and aerodynamic, letting the engineers seek more efficient ways to direct the airflow.
The powertrain is part-electric and comprises a 2.9-liter V8 revving up to 11,000 RPM along with two electric motors. The engine drives the rear axle and the motors are installed on a per-wheel basis at the front end. The standard output is 1,267 PS (1,250 hp / 932 kW), but you can pay extra to bump it to 1,369 PS (1,350 hp / 1,007 kW).
With hardware like this, the car zaps 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 1.9 seconds and exceeds 400 km/h (248 mph) in a straight line. Czinger says its ultimate ambition is to make it capable of 450+ km/h (280+ mph).
