New Exlantix ET7 shows up for the first time

Chery has patented a full-size crossover SUV named the Exlantix ET7 in China, AutoHome.cn reports publishing the first three photos of it. Although advertised as an all-new hybrid and electric vehicle, it actually looks like an upgraded Exlantix ET.

Compared to the ET model already available in China, this one has a distinct front fascia design that strikes us as more laconic and geometric. The grille is replaced with a simple solid trim panel, the lower bumper has chrome inserts, and it seems like there’s a LiDAR on the roof.

Sized 4,988 x 1,975 x 1,710 mm (194.8 x 77.2 x 66.8 inches) large with 3,000 mm (117.2 inches) between the axles, the ET7 is only 8 millimeters (0.3”) longer and 12 mm (0.47”) taller than the base ET. The powertrain type doesn’t affect the exterior much, either, although the EV has what looks like low-drag wheels.

Opting for the base EV spec gives you a single motor with 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW). Paying extra for the top spec adds another motor with 167 PS (165 hp / 123 kW). The top speed is capped at 200 km/h (124 mph) for the 2WD and 210 km (130 mph) for the AWD version.

The hybrid Exlantix ET7 uses a 1.5-liter engine with 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW), and that’s about all we know for now.
