Ken Block flaunts his new off-road plaything

Famous racing driver and car aficionado Ken Block has filmed a video of him happily driving his heavily modded 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor around the Moab Desert in Utah, USA. Let us see what off-road mods the pickup truck received.

SVC Offroad and Hoonigan are responsible for the build, a fact evidenced by numerous inscriptions and logos on the Avalanche Grey car body.

The vehicle rides on a set of 17-inch Fifteen52 Turbomac HD wheels clad in 37-inch Toyo Open Country M/T rubber. The wheel arches and fenders are massively wider than stock, and there is a custom Mojave bumper at the front.

Needless to say, the engineers made a series of improvements to the suspension of the truck. In particular, they upgraded the upper and lower wishbones on all four wheels, installed thoroughly adjustable Fox 4.0 Triple-Bypass shocks, and overhauled the entire front axle. As a result, the suspension travel now amounts to an impressive 18 inches (45 centimeters).

But of course, the tuning did not end there and then. The 3.5-liter V6 engine that the SVC version of the F-150 ships with got chip-tuned and equipped with new turbochargers, a performance exhaust system, and an intercooler. This led to a performance boost to an impressive 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts) along with 800 Nm (590 lbft) of torque.

Wrapping up the list of changes are two light bars mounted on the roof and the front, and bucket seats in the cabin.
