Ford F-150 becomes a camper truck for four people

While serious camping conversions usually start with heavy-duty trucks like the Ford F-250 and above, PaxPower chose the F-150 to become a capable and agile expedition rig for up to four adventurers.

Based on the top-end King Ranch spec, the so-called Ultimate Overlanding Rig offers a frugal roof tent for sleeping, but has rain/snow protection, cabin ventilation, two water tanks on board and a shower. An awning enables dining outside on most days.

The suspension receives a 100mm (4-inch) lift from Fox Raptor shocks and extended control arms. 17-inch aftermarket wheels in the arches come wrapped in 37-inch BF Goodrich KL02 tires, and the arches themselves are much more pronounced thanks to the tuner’s own Alpha Widebody package. The front end has a winch rated for 10,000 pounds (4,500 kg) and auxiliary LED lighting. A Borla exhaust system replaces the stock one, and the front bumper comes from the OEM Raptor catalog.

PaxPower accepts orders for similar conversions.
