Geely has posted the first photos of its upcoming large SUV called the Galaxy Cruiser 700. It will most likely debut next month, but in the meantime, let’s throw a glance at these official images.
Everything suggests that the production-ready SUV looks almost identical to its concept version from last year (see video). Similarities include rugged and boxy bodywork, large body kit parts all around, crescent-shaped headlight patterns and a backlit logo at the front. The rear end remains hidden from view, but it looks like it features a side-hinged tailgate with a spare wheel holder.
The interior has only cropped up on one official image so far. It depicts what appears to be perforated eco-leather trim, a rather unusually designed transmission selector, and some traditional buttons instead of China’s usual capacitive ones.
Nothing has been revealed about the powertrain and drive type yet. Still, Geely’s Galaxy lineup consists purely of EVs and hybrids, so we assume that the Cruiser 700 could be a range-extender hybrid.
