GMC and AEV team up on a SEMA-ready Sierra HD

The SEMA show is right around the corner, and GMC is ready for it with an extremely tuned Sierra HD ‘Sierra Grande’ pickup built in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles.

The truck rides on new Multimatic shocks and benefits from stronger control arms, air-ride cushions and swivel axles. Compared to the stock version (see video), it has 40 mm (1.6 inches) of extra ground clearance and takes advantage of humongous 40-inch tires.

Further modifications include protected bumpers, winches and skid plates at both ends. The bed is new and has a spare wheel holder inside. A snorkel is visible on the right – the only modification of the otherwise stock 6.6-liter Duramax diesel making its usual 477 PS (470 hp / 351 kW).

Nothing has been said about the production prospects so far.
