Honda has issued a press release where it focused on its 2023 model year lineup and also briefly mentioned the part-electric Civic coming to market in the United States in 2024 in hatchback and sedan body styles.
The model will be fully revealed in late 2023. According to Honda, which plans to keep raising its hybrid sales in North America, it will be an important step in getting more customers interested in all-electric vehicles.
The Civic Hybrid for Europe debuted last fall with an e:HEV powertrain based on a 2.0-liter IC engine and two small electric motors. The system output maxed out at 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW) and 315 Nm (232 lb-ft) of torque. The EU spec also had a 9-inch head unit and a 10.2-inch digital dashboard. The same is expected to be standard for the USA.
