Honda Prelude gets OEM and aftermarket tuning options

Mugen, a long-standing partner and in-house tuner of Honda cars, has released a fairly aggressive body kit and other accessories for the revived Prelude coupe. At the same time, Honda launched its own Sports Style package.

You can find the Mugen-tuned car in the photo gallery above. It wears a two-piece front splitter, side skirts with fin-like aero attachments, low-drag side mirror caps and a new rear bumper complete with a built-in diffuser. A modest-sized three-part rear spoiler rounds off the body kit with considerable style.

19-inch BBS forged wheels fill out the arches, promising unsprung weight reduction of 4 kilos (8.8 pounds) per wheel. Further options include a sports exhaust system with a large muffler, assorted decals and typical interior stuff, like branded floor mats and scuff plates.

Honda’s own kit can be seen in the two videos above. It has a more understated look, but still seems sporty enough for the new Prelude. It also comes with simpler alloy wheels instead of forged ones.
