HiPhi bringing its EVs from China to Europe

HiPhi, a budding car brand owned by China-based company Human Horizons, has announced an expansion to Europe. The HiPhi Z sedan and the HiPhi X SUV will go on sale in Norway and Germany in Q3 2023. Read on for pricing and technical details.

The HiPhi X is 5.2 meters (17.06 feet) long and uses two electric motors rated at 300 PS (295 hp / 220 kW) each. The resulting AWD setup lets the crossover SUV sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds. A 97-kWh traction battery yields up to 460 km (285 miles) of WLTP-rated range.

The buyers will be able to choose between a six-seat and a (luxury) four-seat version of the HiPhi X. Their respective prices start from €109,000 and €123,000.

The HiPhi Z is 5 meters (16.4 feet) long and also uses two e-motors arranged one per axle. Its combined output is higher at 672 PS (662 hp / 494 kW) and the battery capacity is larger at 120 kWh. Positioned as a deluxe grand tourer, the Z concludes the standard sprint in 3.8 seconds and covers up to 555 km (344 miles) per charge.

Like with the X, the Z comes in two cabin configurations. The five-seat standard version costs from €105,000, while a premium four-seat variant will set you back €107,000 before options.

Human Horizons has yet to announce the trim options, but its slogan both for China and Europe mentions ‘world-class technology’. As such, we may look forward to power-assisted doors, air-ride suspension, four-wheel steering, multi-zone climate control and a premium audio system.
