Hyundai Creta and Alcazar get adventurous in their latest special edition

Customers in India can now buy the Hyundai Creta and its stretched, three-row counterpart named Alcazar in a special trim version called Adventure. It gets a rugged body kit and assorted equipment, but the drivetrain stays the same.

On the outside, the Adventure series comes finished in a special shade of green reminiscent of khaki. The radiator grille, the alloy wheels, the roof, the mirror covers and the badges are offset in black and the blare calipers are reed. The doors wear rugged trims, and the fenders sport Adventure logos.

The interior is trimmed with black and green eco leather. A dual-channel dash cam and metallic pedal pads are included in the standard equipment list along with a 10.3-inch infotainment screen, climate control, and cruise control. The Alcazar offers a choice between six and seven seats.

Despite its ambitious name, the limited edition doesn’t offer any substantial off-road upgrades and doesn’t even have AWD. The Creta uses a 1.5-liter non-turbo petrol engine to drive the front wheels with 115 PS (113 hp / 86 kW) through either manual or variable transmission. The Alcazar comes with a choice between a petrol and a diesel 1.5-liter turbo. The former churns out 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW) and has a preselector DCT, while the latter makes 116 PS (114 hp / 87 kW) and goes manual or automatic.
