Ineos presents Grenadier Safari, wants to be its own tuner

UK-based car company Ineos Automotive plans on releasing special and limited editions of its Grenadier SUV on its own, with a little help from a newly acquired subsidiary.

The new company, the originally Botswana-based Kavango Engineering, has merged with Ineos and become its integral part. Its 70 employees will be tuning up to 200 cars per year for the discerning clientele, the automaker says.

To demonstrate the capabilities of Ineos Kavango, the company has unveiled a concept car named Grenadier Safari. Unlike the standard off-roader, it had its hardtop replaced with a cloth top, its seats replaced and its ceiling-mounted controls moved to the center console. The result is a cool-looking and practical vehicle for adventure enthusiasts.
