The Jeep Avenger is only 4.08 meters (159.4 inches) long, making it noticeably shorter than even the Renegade, and represents the marque’s first fully electric vehicle.
Designed specifically for the European markets, the car runs on the CMP architecture of the Peugeot 2008 and Opel Mokka. Despite being related to those two models, it has its own, distinct body style with bulky fenders and a rugged black body kit. Note that the headlamps are recessed in typical off-roader fashion to keep them clear of rocks and other dangers.
The default dashboard is digital and seven inches across, but you can request a larger 10.25-inch display. The infotainment screen has the same size.
As for the powertrain, it uses an electric motor on the front axle rated at 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The battery holds 54 kilowatt-hours of power, which translates into 400 km (248 miles) of range according to the European standard (mixed-cycle). Urban driving adds 150 km (93 miles) to the range total.
The production is already underway in Poland. Jeep says hybrid versions of the Avenger are in development, too, but there is still no info on those.
