Jeep announces incentives to combat domestic sales slump

Stellantis is having a hard time in North America right now, with the seemingly well-off Jeep joining the pool of struggling brands like Chrysler and Dodge.

As you may remember, Jeep’s most recent sales target was one million vehicles per year. In reality, the company sold a dismal 643,000 units in 2023, plummeting 50% from the 973,000 units sold in 2018. It didn’t help that the average Jeep car price in the USA went up from $40,000 to $54,000 over the same period.

To reverse the trend, Jeep has launched a number of incentives such as discounts and lease deals on its cars. The company has also promised to announce new models “soon”, and it remains to be seen whether they will be well-received by the market compared to the current overpriced inventory or not.
