2nd-gen Kia Seltos lands in South Korea

Having introduced the second-generation Seltos worldwide in late 2025, Kia has now brought it to the domestic market. Compared to the international version, this one packs extra premium features and electronic assists.

There’s no missing the aggressive exterior styling in this generation. The body is rather bulky and boxy, the headlights are rectangular and sit behind the radiator grille, and the DRLs are fang-shaped. The overall body shape also looks sportier with stamped sides and a raised shoulder line. Opting for a styling package called X-Line adds 19-inch wheels and a rugged-style body kit.

On the outside, the newcomer measures 4,430 x 1,830 x 1,600 millimeters large with 2,690 mm between the axles. This is 40 mm (1.6”) longer and 30 mm (1.2”) wider than Gen.1 with 60 mm (2.4”) of added wheelbase. Thanks to the added size, the trunk now fits 536 liters (18.93 cubic feet) of luggage.

Visual changes in the cabin boil down to a new steering wheel, a different transmission tunnel and a front panel that now houses a trio of displays. One is a digital dash, another one is a head unit, and the third one provides the HVAC controls. The transmission lever is now a stalk under the wheel.

Nine airbags are included in the base spec, Kia says. Higher trims unlock things like a HUD, surround cameras, AEB, ACC, lane control and other modern niceties.

Its its most basic guise, the new Seltos for South Korea comes equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated ta 193 PS (190 hp / 142 kW). There’s also a mild-hybrid variant with a total of 141 PS (139 hp / 104 kW).
