Amalgam’s latest Lambo replicas cost like real cars

Scale model maker Amalgam has presented its two latest works – 1:8 replicas of the legendary Lamborghini Countach LP400 and the recent Revuelto. Each painstakingly detailed model takes roughly 400 hours to create, so the production run will be capped at 199 units for either.

For the Countach LP400, customers will be choosing between two trim and finish options. The first one combines a Giallo Fly exterior with a leather cabin. The alternative is a Rosso Red body with black leather trim. Amalgam emphasizes that it took thousands of operations to produce every single replica, including molding, photoetching and CNC machining (for metal parts).

All Countach models feature pop-up headlights, functional scissor doors and a spare wheel in the trunk. Popping up the hood reveals a small naturally aspirated V12. The list price is $18,700.

The 1:8 Revuelto replica is still a work in progress. It is set to ship in late 2024 priced from $16,400. Owners of actual Lamborghini Revuelto supercars will be able to provide their specs to Amalgam and get a closely matched replica: even the brake calipers and interior stitching accents will be faithfully reproduced. Be sure to set aside $23,500 if you want that, though.
