Lamborghini Urus Performante lands with more power, €0.2M+ sticker

Lamborghini has brought a particularly sinister version of its SUV Urus to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance – here are all the major details.

This very car has recently set a new record within its category at the Pikes Peak hill climb track. The four-liter, twin-turbo V8 was reworked to deliver a devilish 666 PS (657 hp / 490 kW) to the wheels, a modest improvement over the standard 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW). The torque stayed the same at 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). Thanks to other tweaks, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) launch time went down from 3.3 to just 3 seconds.

In addition to the boost, the new Urus received suspension and interaxle differential upgrades. It rides 20 mm (0.8 inches) lower than usual and has a 16 mm (0.6 in) wider track. It also sports new front splitter, hood, front bumper, rear spoiler and rear diffuser.

Last but not least, the range-topping Urus model weighs 47 kilos (103.6 pounds) less than its more mundane counterpart. This is owing to the extensive use of carbon fiber all around, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system (included in the base spec) and new 22-inch wheels available with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R semi-slick tires.

On its domestic market of Italy, the Urus Performance will start from €215,261 when it goes on sale.
